Pathologic: The story continues . . .

Hey all. If you've been reading through these posts, we'd like to thank you. It was an incredible ride, and one we've enjoyed writing about. We'll be posting a few more things in the coming weeks--including a look at the other endings as well as a dialog about our reactions and interpretations as players.

Also, there's a project continuing, in a similar vein, that chronicles the Devotress' part of the story. You can read about it at this link: devotress.blogspot.com.

We'd love to hear your reactions in the comments--thoughts, rants, whatever. If you just randomly clicked on this blog, then by all means start reading from the beginning.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Blerg. It took a while, but I'm finally starting the Devotress write-up – sorry for the delay.

Eagerly anticipating your thoughts about the other endings; I'm curious how you feel about them.

  3. @blackgenma: Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed them.

@Rory: Looking forward to reading more of the Devotress campaign. I'm really curious to know what could have been more shocking than what's already happened in the first two campaigns.

  4. The Devotress blog has been removed :( Any chance of it ever coming back?

    1. @Will: Not sure. The last I heard, Rory was in the midst of a graduate thesis, so the blog might have stalled.

Never fear, though! There's a Let's Play runthrough of the Devotress scenario over at http://lparchive.org/Pathologic/. I've read about half of it so far, and it's pretty good, though written in a much different style than Pathologistics. Enjoy, and thanks for visiting!

  5. This was a wild ride. I played through the new version of the game (Classic HD), with a better translation. I was lost from beginning to end, and read this and another playthrough for help.

Almost end, actually. I gave up on day 10 after every single Bound (Adherent, etc) was infected and quests were impossible to finish. I was absolutely broke, without food or bullets or clothing. I guess this is a kind of ending, where neither The Bachelor nor The Player were good enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Congratulations on this.
